Our 6th grade Class of 2031 is going to Medieval Times! Students raised enough funds selling pies and cookie dough to reserve a trip to Schaumburg, Illinois this spring for some jousting, feasting and fun. Congrats 6th grade.

Congratulations Jessica Jansen on receiving a Maple Leaf Medallion from Dr. Adam Brumbaugh today. Mrs. Jansen is the GMS and District 228 Head RN Nurse. She is a rock of knowledge and wisdom, a true servant leader, and that caring and kind nurse our kids need!

It's Election Day 2024 at GMS! All students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are casting their mock ballot for president at the GMS polling station today. Students learned about the candidates through discussion and conducting their own research, and then cast their vote for president. Crazy at is sounds, any 8th grader already 14 years old will be eligible to vote in 2028, wow! Special thank you to our Social Studies Teachers and Mrs. DePauw for giving students an exciting sneak preview into our election process.

Mrs. Ryerson's class had a great time hanging out with their Kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Vermost's class. They read books to their partner and had a fantastic time. Our Kindergarten students were definitely in awe of their older buddies and enjoyed the time as well.

We had quite the "hyped" day at GMS with 6th grade students combining Ancient Egyptian Sessions Day and the Red Ribbon Week character dress up day. Tons of energy and enthusiasm combined with lots of learning and fun through the day. Hopefully students still have the strength and motivation to go door to door for candy!
