    Joe DePauw has been an integral leader for the Geneseo theatre scene for nearly 43 years—and counting. On Oct. 31, 2021, he and his family were honored by the Geneseo School District when the high school’s theatre was formally named the DePauw Theatre.

  • Millikin sock drive nets 721 pairs for local food pantry

    Students and teachers at Millikin Elementary School gathered 721 pairs of socks during its fifth annual Socktober, a month-long sock drive that benefits the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry.

      Geneseo boys’ basketball head coach Mike Kiss was sitting in solitude. He and his team were on the bus heading to United Township’s Panther Den, where a sectional championship was on the line. The opponent for the third time that season was the Rock Island Rocks, with the teams splitting their first two contests.
