GMS Bands kickoff a Friday evening of fun and sound at this year's Rehears-a-thon. Clinicians met up with each instrument section to provide powerful musical instruction. The kids also played games and ate a lot of food!
GMS Ag Club members learned lots about agriculture class offerings, FFA activities, and individual experiences from GHS agriculture teacher, Mrs. Wetzell, and GHS students, Kylie Maertens, Austin Pearce, and Ayden Kane. They shared valuable insights with our students and we greatly appreciate them visiting and answering questions too.
7th graders traveled to Circa21 today to take part in a theatre workshop and then view the play "Murder on the Orient Express." After studying plot, and reading multiple novels and plays this year, our 7th graders really enjoyed this unique local experience!

Today at GMS we honored an educator who has gone above and beyond to serve students, their families, colleagues, and the entire Geneseo Community. Pat Mitchell received a Maple Leaf Medallion for modeling Teach Learn Care, and he received the award from one of his very own students!

8th graders visited the GHS Vocational Center on Wednesday, touring the amazing new facility, hearing from teachers and Vocational Director Travis Mackey, and asking solid questions about career-based courses they may be taking in their next 4 years.

Due to the weather forecast for Friday, the 48th annual Geneseo Wrestling Invitational at Geneseo High School will now begin on Saturday, Jan. 13 with weigh-ins at 10 a.m. and matches starting at 12 p.m. Gates for spectators will open at 11 a.m.

Congratulations to the Millikin 5th grade students for raising nearly $1000 toward their favorite charities. Students wrote persuasive essays with the purpose of sharing why their charity was a worthy cause to contribute toward. Great job students and teachers!
