GHS to hire new varsity and sophomore baseball coaches

Geneseo High School is looking to fill multiple coaching positions within its baseball program for the 2024-25 school year, including the roles of Head Varsity Baseball Coach and Head Sophomore Baseball Coach.

Geneseo’s varsity baseball team plays its home games at Stone Field, a state-of-the-art high school ballpark with a professional-level playing surface.

Along with the high school’s other athletic teams and student body, the baseball program uses the Geneseo Foundation Activity Center, a 40,000 square-foot fieldhouse with an expansive weight room. It also has access to an indoor hitting facility (7,200 sq. ft.) with HitTrax, Rapsodo (hitting and pitching), and Synergy Sports video.

GHS baseball teams benefit from the Geneseo Jr. Leafs, which after several years has become an established youth program that focuses on player development. In addition, the baseball program’s Booster Club provides meaningful and impactful support.

Interested applicants should visit GeneseoSchools.org to learn more and apply. Questions can be directed to the high school’s Athletic Director, Joe Nichols, by emailing jnichols@geneseoschools.org or calling 309.945.0300.
