Summer Brain Camp

2025 Summer Brain Camp Experience

The Geneseo School District will be hosting a week-long Summer Brain Camp Experience at Millikin Elementary from June 2-6 for any current 2nd-7th grade students. This experience is led by the amazing educators in our district who are eager to inspire and extend learning and enrichment for our students. Learn more and register, beginning on April 28.

Lady Leafs Summer Ca mps

Lady Leaf Basketball Camps (June 2-5)

The Geneseo Lady Leafs basketball program will host summer camps from June 2-5 for elementary and middle school students. The camps will feature current and former Geneseo players, and cost $60 per camper with $10 off for each additional family member. They will focus on ball handling, passing, dribbling, proper shooting technique, and individual and team offense and defense. Learn more and register.

Black Hawk College Summer Youth Programs

Meet new friends, explore your interests and develop your talents with Black Hawk College's youth programs! Black Hawk's classes and summer camps invite creativity and are designed to inspire you to learn more about the arts, fashion, languages, science/math and technology.

  • SAT Exam Preparation
    Classes to help you review test-taking tips and exam contents.

  • Babysitting Clinic (ages 11-16)
    Middle schoolers who meet eligible requirements can spend a week in July learning childcare basics at the Quad-Cities Campus.

  • Youth Summer Camps (for 3rd-5th graders) and Youth Classes
    Invite creativity and be inspired to learn more about topics like the arts, fashion, languages and STEM.

Junior and Senior Art Show

GHS Junior and Senior Art Show

The Smith Studio and Gallery is currently hosting Geneseo High School's annual Junior and Senior Art Show. The gallery is located at 124 South State Street in Geneseo and the show will be displayed until April 26. Gallery hours include Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a special reception for the exhibiting students will take place on Wednesday, April 16 from 5 - 7 p.m.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Register your child for free books!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge monthly to children from birth to age five through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners.

Enroll your child by visiting the front desk at the Geneseo Public Library, located at 805 North Chicago Street. Signing up can only be done in person. Your child must be under the age of 5 and you must reside in Henry County.
