January 25:
The absolute last day to order a GMS Yearbook is this Friday. Pick up an order form from the front office, or order online through your Skyward account.
Attention 8th grade students:
The GHS Counselors will be here on Thursday, January 26 during 3rd hour to talk with you about choosing high school classes. You will be split up by your last name. If your last name is A-G you will go to the cafeteria . If your last name is H-P you will go to the small gym. If your last name is Q-Z you will go to the large gym. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Feely or Mrs. Reed
Attention all students: You may have noticed the challenge board in the cafeteria with five new challenges posted each week. Starting this week, you may turn in completed challenges into the marked box under the bulletin board for a chance to win a prize. A winner from each grade level will be chosen each week and given their choice of a prize. Prizes include a free cookie at lunch, an extra ASAP homework pass, a coupon to go to the front of the lunch line, free admission to a GMS sporting event and more. Grab a challenge (or 2 or 3) during study hall, lunch or while passing through the cafeteria and turn it back in by Friday each week to be eligible. But remember that we do not have school on Friday this week. Winners will be announced each Monday morning. Good luck!
The High School Tip Off Club along with the Maplettes and the Cheerleaders are holding their Autograph night at the High School on Friday. The Boys Basketball team will be playing the Alleman Pioneers (F/S at 5:30, Varsity at 7). We are looking to Pack the Place and the theme is White Out (wear white)! After the game the Cheer Team, Maplettes and Basketball players will be autographing their team posters. Come cheer on the teams! Members of any youth boy’s basketball player (travel, rec, or Jr. High team) will receive free admission to the game.
Good Morning hoops fans! Thanks to all those that came out and supported the A teams during our first home game last night against Edison. The 7th grade got their first win and the 8th grade showed a lot of growth! Next game is at Seton on Thursday!
