Chess club is upon us once again GMS!! All are welcome! If you enjoy playing chess or have never played before, come to learn about pawns, bishops, and those tricky knights. If you’re interested, there will be an informational meeting after school in the library on Wednesday November 9th. If you are unable to attend please contact Mr. Verner in room 606.
The Geneseo Library Writing Club is meeting tomorrow at the Geneseo Library from 3:30-4:30. Fourth-grade students and up are welcome! We will meet in a different part of the library due to voting taking place in our regular room.

This past Saturday, 35 GMS music students participated in the ILMEA District 2 Band and Chorus Festival at Augustana College. They prepared music, recorded a video audition, and were selected for this festival at the end of October.
Participating students were:
In the Junior Treble Chorus: Evelyn Gernant, Addi Swan, Lily Bellagamba, & Anadiyah Karn.
In the Junior Mixed Chorus: Eleanor Bertelsen, Bret Brown, Bella Brown, Grace Carlson, Andre Diediker, Aria Mayo Bechtel, Madilyn Minnaert, Colten Mooney, Sydney Rasmussen, Jaedin Swain, & Elijah Coppejans.
In the Junior Band: Elena Anderson, Jacob Berry, Madelyn Farnum, Tae Freeman, Lauren Piquard, Connor Runty, Molly Snyder, Cade Wolf, Mia O'Dell, Tivya Bernier, Fritz Bolme, Harrison Conley, Isla Disterhoft, Gretchen Fuelling, Hannah Fuelling, Aiden Hawkins, Anabella Kelley, Ian McShane, Jaxson Seals, & Hannah Wildemuth.
Isla Disterhoft also auditioned for and was accepted into the Junior Orchestra on violin. She will be traveling to DeKalb on November 19th for that festival.
