Last night the Wrestling team traveled to Mercer County. The Leafs would start in a 24-0 hole but work their way back with pins by Maddux Kennedy, Noah Medina, Braeden York, Tad Moore, and Kenneryk Osborn. The Leafs and Eagles would trade blows for the remainder of the meet with the Eagles pulling away at the end. 60 to 46.  Then the Leafs would take on the streaks and would blow past the streaks so fast that they didn't know what hit them. The leafs would win the meet 87 to 0.  Good luck Leafs as you take on Washington tonight.

Attention Hoops Fans: Unfortunately, due to Saturday's weather, there was no 7th grade shootout on Saturday at the GFAC. So no scores to report on there. Last night, our As were home against the John Deere Spartans. The 7As definitely had this game circled on their calendar as this was the opponent they lost to in DOUBLE OVERTIME in the first matchup. And boy, did our Leafs deliver! They used stifling team defense and timely offense to avenge that first close loss with a 30-21 victory.  After giving up 50 points in the first contest, and 26 points to their best player, our Leafs held that player to only 6 total points...and 21 total points for their team. Great improvement and great win 7s! Our 8s had a tough matchup in the nightcap with a John Deere player able to shoot it as soon as he crossed half court and several supporting pieces around him. The Spartans shield was too much and John Deere came away with the win. Tonight is the last game of the year for boys basketball. Good luck Leafs.
