Attention Hoops Fans: It was a busy night of basketball for our Leafs. Our 7As played Sterling here at home and fell 24-36. The 7Bs followed and had a nailbiter of a game. Have you ever heard that free throws win games? Well, they tied the game for the Leafs. Down by 2 with less than ten seconds left, Bennett Holke got fouled, stepped up to line, and knocked down two free throws to tie it up and send the game to overtime. Then in overtime, free throws won it. Brady Garard sank 3 out of 4 free throws in overtime to help the Leafs capture the narrow 25-24 victory in an awesome, loud home environment! Thank you to all the fans that came out and helped be the "6th man" in the win. The 8s traveled to Sterling and tried to be 'road Warriors' but it was the home Golden Warriors that were victorious in both the 8A and 8B games. It's another busy night tonight with the As heading to Seton and our Bs here at home. Good luck Leafs!
