The Geneseo Library Writing Club, Writing Rocks, is meeting this Tuesday at the Geneseo Library from 3:30-4:30. Fourth-grade students and up are welcome! Even If you miss one, you can still come. This year we're working on Quest and Adventure.

The next GMS yearbook staff meeting is Tuesday, October 15th after school until 4:30pm.  Please be sure to let an advisor know if you won't be able to attend.

On a perfect fall day on Saturday, the Leafs Cross Country teams were a force to be reckoned with at the IESA Sectional Meet in Rockford.  The girls team placed 6th out of 16 teams, and two girls finished in the top 25.  Annika Brumbaugh finished in 18th place and Charlize Wachtel finished in 4th place.  Charlize's 4th place finish with a time of 12:54 qualifies her to compete at the state meet!  The boys team placed 2nd out of 16 teams, and their second place finish qualifies the entire boys team to compete at state! Top 25 finishers for the boys were Declan Gillespie in 24th place, Henry Woodward in 21st place, Kellan Courtright in 11th place, Kyle Wirth in 9th place and Will Ehlert in 4th place.  William Davis and Novak Ryerson rounded out the boys team and all 7 boys will run at state!

Charlize and the boys team will compete with the best of the best on Saturday in Normal.  Congrats and Go Leafs!

Please come cheer on the 7th grade Green vs White Volleyball teams tonight at GMS at 4pm and then head over to high school to watch the 8th grade Green vs White scrimmage at 5:30pm for some end of season fun!
