8th grade students have an opportunity to travel to Washington DC in June of 2025.  An informational meeting will be held virtually for parents on September 15th.  Pick up a flyer at the middle school office window or in your History class.  

Fellowship of Christian Athletes - FCA will be holding our first meeting of the year on Tuesday Sept. 10th at 7:35 in the small gym. FCA meets every Tuesday morning at 7:35am. All are welcome to attend - come check it out!

6th Graders!  Your 6th grade senate petitions are due today.  Please give them to Mrs. Johnson in room 601 by the end of the day if you intend to run for 6th grade senate.  

Attention all students interested in speech: Stop by Mrs. Haars room to grab an introduction to speech paper and join the speech Google Classroom. If you already joined, come to her room before school to look through speeches and choose the right one for you. You need to pick a speech by Sept. 11.

Congrats to the 7th Grade August student of the month recipients. From House 7-1 Justin Roemer and Bradlee Larson. From House 7-2 Teagan Price and Josh Diehl. Your teachers appreciate the positive attitude, kindness, and respect you have shown in the first few weeks of school. Keep it up! 

The 7th grade Whites volleyball team played hard against Glenview last night and unfortunately came away with a loss. Top servers were Kami Nordstrom and Peyton Wexell!

The 8th grade volleyball team played an exciting 3 sets against Glenview last night. Geneseo won the first set 25-17, but Glenview came back to win the second set with a score of 22-25. The girls fought hard and won the 3rd set 15-12. Top server for the night was Ellie Jackson with 4 aces and the leading attacker was Ashlynn Chamberlain.  Great game ladies!!!

The Girls Golf team participated in the IESA Sectional Golf Meet on Thursday at Madison Golf Course in Peoria.  Annie Reed, Madison Kuethe, and Avery Emmerson represented GMS.

Avery Emmerson led the Leafs with a 117 and finished tied for 29th overall. Madison Kuethe shot a 121 on the day and carding a 120 was Annie Reed who improved her score from last years sectional meet by a whopping 35 shots!!! Congratulations on a fine season ladies!
