Attention NFL Playoff Pick Em: It was an exciting Divisional Round of games with a couple games coming down to field goal kicks, or misses. Several of you are excited. We had 5 participants that scored a perfect score for the Divisional Round. We have a lot of teams still in contention for being the overall playoff winner. Currently, it is the team of Aislyn Kane and Reese Shannon in the lead with 31 total points. Picks are due by the end of the day Friday. Good luck!
WQAD is sponsoring their annual “My Favorite Teacher” Award. If you have a favorite teacher that you would like to nominate, stop at the office window for an information packet. The deadline to submit an entry is January 31.
Did you complete a challenge puzzle last week? These students did AND they’ve won a prize. Congratulations to Kaden Wagle, Khloe VonHolten, Jordan Calloway, Dryden Stokes, and, drum roll please… apparently the most "challenging" challenge puzzle last week was the pink snail in a well question. MOST students answered 30 days, however Peyton Brodie, Ella Johnson, and Wyatt Mickley came up with the correct answer of 28 days! Congrats, the three of you have also earned a prize! Please go to Mrs. Wagner's room 604 after announcements this morning. New challenges for this week have been posted in the cafeteria. Attention GMS: The GMS Girls Basketball season was supposed to tip off on Monday and Tuesday but because of the weather we were not able. Now, our season will be tipping off today. Our A teams will be home vs Wilson and our B teams will be on the road against our Wolf Road rival, Colona. In addition, this Thursday night, the high school girls are home and having their "Pink Zone." There will be a bake sale, auction items, gift baskets, and a 50/50 to help raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. If you are wearing this year's "Pink Zone" t-shirt, you will get free admission into the game. The sophomore game tips at 5:30 with the Varsity game @ 7:00. Hope to see you there! Go Lady Leafs!
