Attention 6th and 7th grade students: If you have not made your elective choice for next year, please check your school gmail account and look for the email from Mrs. Feely with a link to choose your elective. We would like all students to complete this by the end of this week.
ALL GMS Students: The Lost and Found Cart is OVERFLOWING. It has been pushed into the cafeteria for today, so at LUNCH, please claim anything that is yours.
Congratulations to the track and field team on an incredible showing at the IESA Sectional meet here at home on Saturday. The 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls and 8th grade boys are all Sectional Champions! 40 of our athletes qualified to compete at the State meet, and of those 40, THIRTY athletes were Sectional Champions in at least one event. All our Sectionals competitors had great performances with many personal records set. In addition, we have a new school record holder. Jackson Frank broke the 7th grade boys shot put record with a throw of 44 feet 7 inches. This breaks a record that has stood since 1990!
Our team next competes in the final meet of the season this Friday and Saturday at the IESA State meet in East Peoria. Good luck Leafs!
