Eastern Illinois University Visit:

On Tuesday, November 1st, Eastern Illinois University will be visiting Geneseo High School during 7th hour. If you are interested in meeting with Eastern, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before the visit to obtain a pass and confirm the visit will be taking place.

 

Fall Play Tickets:

The GHS Theatre program will be presenting their fall play, “Every Little Crook and Nanny” this Friday and Saturday, October 28 and 29.  Performances are at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 and are only available at the door.  Performances are in the DePauw Theatre at the High School.  Come to support your friends and classmates in this fun comedy.


Student Parking Waiting List:

Senior, Junior, and Sophomore students may stop by the Assistant Principal’s office at the end of your school day to add your name to the Student Parking Waiting List.  You must have all past due discipline served, and Sophomore students must be able to present their driver’s license.  Please note, this does not give you availability to park but will place you on a Waiting List for when spaces become available.

 

Officials Needed:

It's almost basketball & wrestling season and The Quad City Officials Association is looking for new officials to referee youth & jr high levels.  Make OVER $20 an hour!  Make money and gain experience with veteran referees.  Contact Jon Clark at quadcityra@gmail.com or 309-945-8119 by November 1st to get more information.


November Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:

Study Hall release will start on Tuesday, November 1st.  Students will receive ineligibility notices on Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th.  In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations: 

- Grades of D+ or higher in all classes

- No 2nd  Semester 2022 failed classes

- No unpaid library fines

- No unserved discipline

- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release. 

 

WIN-ter Warm Gear Drive: 

Collect new hats, mittens, scarves, gloves, and socks to add to your WIN class’s donation box.  The WIN class that collects the most items will earn the heartwarming feeling of giving.  It’s a WIN-WIN.  The drive will run through November 16.   

 

Volunteers Needed for Scarecrow Row:

Looking for Silver Cord Hours? Join us for Scarecrow Row 2022 on October 29th and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. Costumes are preferred, but not required. Contact the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce if you’re interested in volunteering! Geneseo@geneseo.org.
