Black Hawk College Visit Today:
Black Hawk College will be visiting Geneseo High School today during WIN. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office if you would like to speak with BHC’s representative, Gabriella Hurtado.
Central College Visit:
On Thursday, October 27th, Central College will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th hour. If you are interested in meeting with Central College, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before the visit to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Tabletop Games Club:
There will be Tabletop Games Club on Wednesday after school in Mrs. Davidson’s room, room 10.
Mathletes:
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in joining Mathletes this Thursday, October 27th in Room 38 (Mr. C’s Room) during WIN. It would be nice if you joined the Google Classroom prior to the meeting. Please see your math teacher about how to join the Google Classroom for Mathletes.
St. Ambrose College Visit:
On Wednesday, October 26th, St. Ambrose College will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with St. Ambrose, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before the visit to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
November Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:
Study Hall release will start on Tuesday, November 1st. Students will receive ineligibility notices on Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th. In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations:
- Grades of D+ or higher in all classes
- No 2nd Semester 2022 failed classes
- No unpaid library fines
- No unserved discipline
- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release.
Girls Wrestling Club:
There will be a Girls Wrestling Club parent & player information meeting on Thursday, October 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Commons.
Playoff Sweatshirts On Sale:
It’s football playoff season and time to get yourself a playoff hoodie. Hoodie sweatshirts will go on sale this Wednesday-Friday morning in the main hallway before school. All hoodies are $25 and are available in all sizes Small thru XXXL. The last time playoff sweatshirts were available was in 2017, so get your long awaited traditional playoff hoodie while supply last!
WIN-ter Warm Gear Drive:
Collect new hats, mittens, scarves, gloves, and socks to add to your WIN class’s donation box. The WIN class that collects the most items will earn the heartwarming feeling of giving. It’s a WIN-WIN.
Library Closures:
The GHS library will be closed on Monday, October 24th and Tuesday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Do not send any students to the library during these times. Thank you.
Psychology Club:
Are you interested in Psychology? Do you want to learn more about common mental disorders? Psychology Club will be holding an informational 1st meeting on Tuesday, October 25th. There will be a meeting for early release students in Mrs. Anton’s Room (Rm 16) from 2:15-2:45. There will be another meeting at regular dismissal in Mrs. Snooks Room (Rm 41) from 3:05-3:35. We look forward to seeing you there!
Volunteers Needed for Scarecrow Row:
Looking for Silver Cord Hours? Join us for Scarecrow Row 2022 on October 29th and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. Costumes are preferred, but not required. Contact the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce if you’re interested in volunteering! Geneseo@geneseo.org.
Boo-Grams:
The life skills classes will be selling Boo-Grams (full size candy bars) for $2 each on October 25th and 26th during all three lunch periods. Send one to a friend, teacher, or yourself! They will be delivered during WIN period on Halloween!
