May Study Hall Release for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors:
Study Hall release will start on Thursday, May 1st. Students will receive ineligibility notices Tuesday, April 29th and Wednesday, April 30th. In order to be eligible for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations:
- Grades of C- or higher in all classes
- No 1st Semester 2024 failed classes
- No unpaid library fines
- No unserved discipline
- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release.
Prom Ticket Sales:
Prom tickets for Senior & Junior students will be for sale Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday next week. Please remember that all discipline with assigned dates prior to Monday, April 28th must be served in order to purchase your tickets. Also remember, all PROM tickets are Pre-Sale only, tickets will not be available at the door the night of PROM.
Fine Arts Signing Day:
GHS will once again offer a Fine Arts Signing Day on Friday, May 9th during WIN. GHS seniors that will be continuing their education in the fine or performing arts at the college level are welcome to sign up. You may pick up the sign-up request form in the Assistant Principal’s Office or find it linked to the Announcements page. The request form is due to the Assistant Principal office by May 2nd to participate.
Foreign Language Club:
Our next meeting is Monday, April 28th at 3:00 PM in room 3. We will be making May Day baskets. Hope to see you there!
Gray Matters:
Please join us for the Gray Matters meeting today in the Theatre during WIN. Please check in with your WIN teacher before coming to the Theatre. Hope to see you there!
US Army Visit:
The US Army will be visiting Geneseo High School today during 7th period. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office.
Music Festival Queen Pageant:
Information forms for the annual Geneseo Music Festival Queen Pageant are available in the Front Office. The Geneseo Rotary-sponsored pageant is Friday, June 13, in City Park, and the pageant is open to Geneseo High School graduating senior girls. Scholarships from the Rotary Club will be awarded to the Queen and four runners-up. Forms will be accepted in the GHS Front Office through Friday, May 23.
Athletic Signing Ceremony:
The GHS Athletic Signing Ceremonies will take place on Monday, April 28th for Female Sports and Tuesday, April 29th for Male Sports during WIN in the Concert Hall. Any Senior who is playing a sport in college may sign-up to take part in the signing ceremony in the Athletic Office. If you are interested in taking part in the ceremony, sign up by today.
