Attention Seniors:
If you ordered graduation announcements/invitations they can be picked up today during the lunch period in the main lobby. Only graduation announcement orders are in today, cap & gown orders will be delivered at a later date.
Military Cords:
If you are a senior that will be enlisting in the military after high school, please let Mrs. Harrington in the Front Office know by Friday, March 14. Seniors that are enlisting in the military will be given a red, white, & blue honor cord to wear at graduation.
Prom Guest Forms:
Prom Guest forms for Junior and Senior students are now available outside the Assistant Principal's Office. Please be sure it is complete prior to turning it in, forms not completed will not be approved by Administration. The completed guest form must be received in the Assistant Principal's Office no later than Friday, April 11th without exception.
Bradley University Visit:
On Tuesday, March 11th, Bradley University will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with Bradley University, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Western Illinois Visit:
On Monday, March 10th, Western Illinois University will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with Western Illinois University, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Silver Cord Opportunity - St. Malachy’s:
St. Malachy School is looking for volunteers to assist with set up and decorating for their annual fundraising event on Friday, March 7th. Shifts are available from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. Take advantage of your day off of school and earn Silver Cord hours! If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Anselmi at hanselmi@geneseoschools.org. To earn Silver Cord hours, be sure to have your Silver Cord timesheet filled out so the supervisor can sign when you volunteer.
Polar Plunge:
The 2025 Polar Plunge will be March 14th during 1st hour. Grab your friends to make teams of 4, dress up or simply just take the plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Geneseo and Special Olympics Illinois. Minimum $5 entry fee per person. Sign up using the QR code on posters throughout the school.
Dance Marathon:
Don't forget to raise your $25 for Dance Marathon! If you have not yet signed up, use the QR code on the bulletin board near the Athletic Office. If you already have an account, make sure you are getting that money raised! Remember - Dancing Saves Lives!
Silver Cord Opportunity – Woodridge:
If you have 6th or 7th early release, Woodridge is looking for some students who would be interested in visiting with residents to help with activities and play Bingo during 6th & 7th period. If you are interested, contact Jennifer at 309-944-9600. To earn Silver Cord hours, be sure to have your Silver Cord timesheet filled out so the supervisor can sign when you volunteer.

There is a list of upcoming volunteer opportunities at the Park District posted on the GHS Announcements bulletin board in the main hall. Hours, position details, and contact information is included. To earn Silver Cord hours, be sure to have your Silver Cord timesheet filled out so the supervisor can sign when you volunteer.
