January Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:
Study Hall release will start on Monday, January 13th. Students will receive ineligibility notices today and Friday, January 10th. In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations:
- Grades of C- or higher in all classes
- No 1st Semester 2024 failed classes
- No unpaid library fines
- No unserved discipline
- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Northside Math Night:
Northside is hosting a Family Math Night on February 25th and is looking for student volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, information is posted on the GHS Announcements bulletin board in the main hall.
Student Parking:
Just a reminder regarding Student Parking and Student Parking areas:
West Lot (across from the main school doors), student parking is from the 2nd row back, the entire front row is limited to staff parking only.
Facility Lot (north end of the main school building), is fully available for student parking with the exception of the 5 spaces which face North/South as you enter the lot.
South Lot (Fine Arts end of the building), this area is strictly staff parking only and you may not park in this area during the school day hours.
State Street parking (in front of the school building), this area is strictly staff parking only and you may not park on the street in front of the building during the school day hours. If you have any questions regarding student parking, please see Officer Amber or stop by the Assistant Principal’s Office.
Hallway Lockers:
All hallway lockers should have their school issued padlock locked at all times. If you have lost your hallway padlock a new lock can be purchased in the Athletic Office for $10.
Silver Cord Volunteer Opportunities:
There is a list of upcoming volunteer opportunities at the Park District posted on the GHS Announcements bulletin board in the main hall. Hours, position details, and contact information is included.
