Thank a school board member on Nov. 15

To recognize the outstanding efforts of the nearly 6,000 elected school board members throughout Illinois, November 15 of each year is designated as "School Board Members Day."

Geneseo’s Board of Education acts to safeguard two of our district’s most precious resources – our children and tax dollars – while striving to create the best education environment possible with the resources available.

Our Board of Education includes the following individuals:

  • Barry Snodgrass (President)

  • Kane Causemaker (Vice President)

  • Diane Olson (Secretary)

  • Kyle Ganson

  • Jackie Mickley

  • Julie Robinson

  • Karen Urick

"The Geneseo Board of Education is dedicated to ensuring that our students and staff have the resources and support necessary to achieve their fullest potential,” said Dr. Adam Brumbaugh, Superintendent. “While serving as a board member is often a thankless role, it is essential to the success and governance of our district. Each member deserves our sincere gratitude for their unwavering commitment to this vital public service."

School board members are volunteers who serve as advocates and strive for quality education opportunities for all students. The members of Geneseo’s board take on this responsibility not for a paycheck, but for their commitment to our community and its children.

Please join us in thanking our Board of Education!

Are you interested in running for the school board? There’s still time to be on the ballot in 2025.
