Hat Days for Veterans!
Today, tomorrow, and Friday you can wear a hat by paying $1 to your 1st hour teacher to help raise money for the Quad Cities Veterans Outreach Center. Place your colored sticker on your hat to show your contribution and effort to help us make this a successful fundraiser.
Volleyball Fan Bus:
The Athletic Office is offering a Student Fan bus to cheer on the Volleyball team as they compete again Bartonville-Limestone on Thursday, November 7th in the Sectional Final Game. The bus will cost $5 and must be paid when signing up for the bus in the Athletic Office. Students are responsible for purchasing their own ticket in to the Sectional Final Game. The Bus will depart from GHS at 4:15 on Thursday.
Boys Volleyball Game:
Attention Junior and Senior Boys: Would you like to be on the team for the annual Junior vs. Senior Boys Volleyball game? The Student Council is once again hosting a Boys Volleyball Game-Charity Toy Drive to be held on Thursday, November 14 in the big gym. Registration to be on the team is open to all junior and senior boys and will open today during WIN. Check your email to sign up. The first 15 boys from each class to register will secure a spot on the team. Participants must register themselves as email addresses are collected. Time Management Workshop:
Feeling overwhelmed with your workload? Join the FFA Chapter for a Time Management Workshop on November 12th at 5:00 p.m. in the Ag Lab. What you’ll gain: Effective scheduling techniques, Tips to beat procrastination, and Strategies for increased productivity. Foreign Language Club:
Our next meeting is this Friday at 3:00 p.m. in room 3. We will be learning how to make small piñatas. Hope to see you there!

Today after school you can buy a Robotics Team pin for only one dollar! They feature original art by one of our Seniors. Find the team near the front doors!
Silver Cord Opportunity – First Methodist Church:
It is that time of year for the Victorian Walk and Christmas meal at First Methodist Church. They are looking for volunteers to serve food, be monitors, kitchen help, etc. If you could spare a couple of hours that evening it lasts from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Even if it's just 1 or 2 hours, any help is appreciated.
