GHS Announcements 11-1-24

Friday, November 1

Attention Students:

Students who are notified to go to the main office, nurse, or assistant principal’s office are to promptly report to that location.  This includes student phone notifications, intercom call downs, and pass slips from hall runners. Failure to do so will result in further discipline.

Veterans Day:

Veterans Day is just around the corner. GHS is remembering Veterans Day in TWO WAYS this year – by honoring and taking action!

Honoring:  We’re holding an all-school assembly with local veterans as guests on Monday, November 11. We want all students to be able to participate because nearly everyone, students and staff alike, is connected to a veteran in some way.

Taking Action: We’re hosting “Hat Days” next week! Students and teachers are encouraged to wear hats Monday through Friday, paying a dollar each day to do so! Money will be collected each day in your first hour.  All proceeds from this event will be donated to Quad Cities Veterans Outreach Center since they serve local veterans in multiple ways.

Attention Students & Staff:

Do you have a Veteran in your life?  If you do, please invite them to our Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 11th.  Invitations are available in the Front Office for you to pick up.

Girl Up Club:

There will be a Girl Up meeting on Wednesday, November 6th at 7:35 a.m. in room 2.

Gray Matters Meeting:

We will be having a Gray Matters Meeting today in the Theatre during WIN.  Everyone is welcome!

Senior Hall of Fame Voting:

Seniors - Hall of Fame (superlative) voting is open between now and November 5th. To participate in nominating your peers, you can scan the QR code outside of Mrs. Brewer or Mrs. Anton’s doors OR check your email for the Google Form.
