Tuesday, October 8 – Teacher/Student Swap Day-teachers dress as students/students dress as teachers
Wednesday, October 9 – Country vs. Country Club
Thursday, October 10 – Hawaiian Day
Friday, October 11 – Spirit Day, Green/White, Team - Club Day.
Students must stay within the school dress code.
Loras College Visit:
On Monday, October 7th, Loras College will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with Loras College, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Quad City Storm:
The QC Storm (the Quad Cities professional hockey team) will be here on Friday morning along with their mascot, Radar. They will be broadcasting live from our radio station, WGRG 100.5 at 7:15. From 7:30-8:00 on Friday morning, Radar will be in the front lobby of GHS doing meet and greets and taking selfies with students. Plan to stop by and meet Radar.
Fall Play Crew:
All Fall Play Crew members and Crew Seniors should meet in the Theatre on Thursday, October 3 at 3:15 p.m. for program photos and Senior photos.
Table Top Games Club:
There will be Table Top Games Club after school today in Mrs. Davidson’s room, room 10.
Horror Book Raffle Contest:
During the month of October, the GHS library will be hosting a raffle contest. For each horror book you check out this month, your name will be entered into a drawing for an Anthology for Books gift card. Stop in and pick out a spooky book today!
Girls Tennis Senior Night:
Girls Tennis Senior Night is today starting at 4:00 p.m. Come celebrate the seniors as they play against some of their favorite teachers in double matches. Pick up a team poster if you missed out earlier in the season. We hope to see you there!
Attention All Early Bird Students:
Any student that has an Early Bird class will have a meeting in the Theatre on Friday, October 4th during WIN period. Report to your WIN class first for attendance and then immediately check out with your teacher and head to the Theatre for the meeting.
Seniors Open Campus Lunch:
The next Open Campus Lunch opportunity will be Friday, October 4th!
To qualify, you need to have a grade of D+ or higher in all classes and have no unserved discipline or unpaid library fines. Eligibility will be determined on Wednesday, October 2nd. Eligibility notices will be distributed on the morning of Open Campus Lunch day, on Friday, October 4th. Students who qualify will have additional time for lunch. If you receive a notice, please be sure to read it for your exact leaving and return times.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:
If you are interested in volunteering at the Park District, there are volunteer opportunities and contact information listed on the announcements bulletin board in the main hall. Silver Cord timesheets can be found on the GHS website or in the Front Office.
