Senior Graduation Meeting Today:

All Seniors will have a meeting in the Theatre today during WIN.  The Herff Jones rep will be here to discuss cap, gown, and other graduation items.  Report to your WIN class first for attendance and then your WIN teacher will take the entire class to the Theatre immediately after attendance is taken. 

 

Horror Book Raffle Contest:

During the month of October, the GHS library will be hosting a raffle contest. For each horror book you check out this month, your name will be entered into a drawing for an Anthology for Books gift card. Stop in and pick out a spooky book today!

 

Girls Tennis Senior Night:

Girls Tennis Senior Night is tomorrow, October 2nd starting at 4:00 p.m. Come celebrate the seniors as they play against some of their favorite teachers in double matches. Pick up a team poster if you missed out earlier in the season.  We hope to see you there! 

 

Attention All Early Bird Students:

Any student that has an Early Bird class will have a meeting in the Theatre on Friday, October 4th during WIN period.  Report to your WIN class first for attendance and then immediately check out with your teacher and head to the Theatre for the meeting.  (Please note the new date of Friday, it was previously scheduled for Wednesday)    

 

Seniors Open Campus Lunch:

The next Open Campus Lunch opportunity will be Friday, October 4th!

To qualify, you need to have a grade of D+ or higher in all classes and have no unserved discipline or unpaid library fines. Eligibility will be determined on Wednesday, October 2nd. Eligibility notices will be distributed on the morning of Open Campus Lunch day, on Friday, October 4th. Students who qualify will have additional time for lunch. If you receive a notice, please be sure to read it for your exact leaving and return times.

 

Table Top Games Club:

There will be Table Top Games Club on Wednesday after school in Mrs. Davidson’s room, room 10.

 

October Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:

Study Hall release will start on Tuesday, October 1st.  Students will receive ineligibility notices on Friday, September 27th and Monday, September 30th.  In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations: 

- Grades of D+ or higher in all classes

- No 2nd Semester 2024 failed classes

- No unpaid library fines

- No unserved discipline

- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release. 

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:

If you are interested in volunteering at the Park District, there are volunteer opportunities and contact information listed on the announcements bulletin board in the main hall.  Silver Cord timesheets can be found on the GHS website or in the Front Office.
