Senior WIN Meeting:
Attention Seniors: There will be a Senior Meeting during WIN on Tuesday, September 3 in the Theatre. Please be sure to report to the Theatre for WIN for some important information with the Counselors. You do not need to report to WIN first. We will be discussing all things you will need to know throughout this school year; college applications, scholarships, financial aid and much more.
SLAP:
Student Library Advisory Panel (or SLAP) meets the first Tuesday of each month, so our first meeting is next week. Any students who enjoy reading or books are welcome to join us in the library at 7:35 a.m. to learn more about this monthly club.
Foreign Language Club:
Attention all Foreign Language Club members: Our next meeting is today at 3:00 p.m. in room 3. We will be hearing about Mrs. Lindberg's travels to Spanish-speaking countries. Bring a friend and hope to see you there!
Freshman Class Officer Petitions Available:
Attention Freshman: Would you like to be your Class President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer for the 2024-25 school year? Class Officer petitions are now available. Pick one up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions need 25 signatures and must be returned today. Candidates will be placed on a ballot for a class election. Class officers are members of the Student Council and are expected to fulfill all membership duties.
Homecoming Guest Forms:
Homecoming guest forms are available in the bin outside the Assistant Principals' office, students are allowed 1 approved guest. Please read through the form and be sure it is complete and all signatures are obtained prior to submitting the form. Forms must be turned in no later than Friday, September 27th, there will not be any exceptions to this final date.
Trap Team:
The Geneseo Trap Team will hold an open house at Bi-State on Sunday, September 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. There will be a parent meeting at 3:00. Anyone interested in Trap should attend.
Silver Cord Opportunity – GMS Concessions:
GMS is in need of students to work their volleyball concessions. This qualifies for Silver Cord hours, the student would just have to fill out the Silver Cord timesheet and have the concession supervisor sign off on it. You would be working from 3:30 p.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m. All dates are listed on the GHS Announcements Board in the main hall. If you are interested, please contact Darin Pardoe at dpardoe@geneseoschools.org If you have any questions, please stop by the GHS Front Office.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:
If you are interested in volunteering at the Park District, there are volunteer opportunities and contact information listed on the announcements bulletin board in the main hall. Silver Cord timesheets can be found on the GHS website or in the Front Office.
