Coffee Corner:
Coffee Corner is back! We will be open this Friday from 7:30-7:55 in room 37. Stop by and see us. All drinks are $3.00.
Girl Up Club:
There is an informational meeting for a new club called Girl Up in Room 2 at 7:35 AM Wednesday morning for anyone who is interesting in joining.
Student Council:
Join Student Council and make a difference in our school. To become a member, simply fill out a membership petition and secure 25 signatures. Petitions may be picked up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions are due by Thursday, Sept. 5. Student Council meets every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Theatre. Don’t miss out on the many Student Leadership Opportunities. Student Council will hold its first meeting this Thursday, August 29 at 8:30 a.m. in the Theatre. Come and check us out. Everyone is welcome.
Homecoming Guest Forms:
Homecoming guest forms are available in the bin outside the Assistant Principals' office, students are allowed 1 approved guest. Please read through the form and be sure it is complete and all signatures are obtained prior to submitting the form. Forms must be turned in no later than Friday, September 27th, there will not be any exceptions to this final date.
Marines Visit:
On Wednesday, August 28th, the US Marine Corps will be visiting Geneseo High School during 7th period. If you are interested in meeting with the US Marine Corps, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Freshman Class Officer Petitions Available:
Attention Freshman: Would you like to be your Class President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer for the 2024-25 school year? Class Officer petitions are now available. Pick one up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions need 25 signatures and must be returned by Friday, August 30. Candidates will be placed on a ballot for a class election. Class officers are members of the Student Council and are expected to fulfill all membership duties.
Trap Team:
The Geneseo Trap Team will hold an open house at Bi-State on Sunday, September 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. There will be a parent meeting at 3:00. Anyone interested in Trap should attend.
Silver Cord Opportunity – GMS Concessions:
GMS is in need of students to work their volleyball concessions. This qualifies for Silver Cord hours, the student would just have to fill out the Silver Cord timesheet and have the concession supervisor sign off on it. You would be working from 3:30 p.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m. All dates are listed on the GHS Announcements Board in the main hall. If you are interested, please contact Darin Pardoe at dpardoe@geneseoschools.org If you have any questions, please stop by the GHS Front Office.
Silver Cord Volunteer Opportunities:
If you are interested in volunteering at the Park District, there are volunteer opportunities and contact information listed on the announcements bulletin board in the main hall. Silver Cord timesheets can be found on the GHS website or in the Front Office.
