WIN Freshman Meeting Today: 

Today there will be a Freshman Meeting during WIN.  Go to your WIN class first for attendance and then your teacher will take you down to the Theatre. 

 

Marines Visit:

On Wednesday, August 28th, the US Marine Corps will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with the US Marine Corps, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place. 

 

Trap Team:

The Geneseo Trap Team will hold an open house at Bi-State on Sunday, September 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. There will be a parent meeting at 3:00. Anyone interested in Trap should attend.

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – GMS Concessions:

GMS is in need of students to work their volleyball concessions.  This qualifies for Silver Cord hours, the student would just have to fill out the Silver Cord timesheet and have the concession supervisor sign off on it.  You would be working from 3:30 p.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m.  The first date is Monday, August 26.  All dates are listed on the GHS Announcements Board in the main hall.  If you are interested, please contact Darin Pardoe at dpardoe@geneseoschools.org 

 

Attention Freshmen:

Starting Monday, August 26th through Friday, August 30th, Freshmen will attend Freshman Bootcamp with the Counselors during WIN in the Theatre.  Please check in with your WIN teacher on Monday before reporting to the Theatre.

 

Freshman Class Officer Petitions Available:

Attention Freshman:  Would you like to be your Class President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer for the 2024-25 school year? Class Officer petitions are now available.  Pick one up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions need 25 signatures and must be returned by Friday, August 30. Candidates will be placed on a ballot for a class election.  Class officers are members of the Student Council and are expected to fulfill all membership duties.

 

Foreign Language Club:

Attention all students interested in Foreign Language Club: Our first meeting of the year will be this Friday, August 23rd at 3:00 PM in Room 3 (Mrs. Lindberg's room). We will be discussing our events for this year. Bring a friend and hope to see you there!

 

Silver Cord Volunteer Opportunities:

If you are interested in volunteering at the Park District, there are volunteer opportunities and contact information listed on the announcements bulletin board in the main hall.  Silver Cord timesheets can be found on the GHS website or in the Front Office.
