Geneseo High School is teaming up with the American Job Center, Illinois Works, and Black Hawk College to host a six-week pre-apprenticeship program designed to transition participants into building and construction trades apprenticeships.
The class will take place from July 1 to August 9 at Geneseo High School’s Career and Technical Education Center and there is no cost for eligible participants, who must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and be an Illinois resident.
The program will be managed by Black Hawk College and GHS staff will serve as instructors. It will include classroom instruction, wrap-around services, student support services, industry recognized credentials, and a stipend of $14.25 per hour.
