Course Requests:

Attention Students: All course requests for the 24-25 school year need to be entered before Skyward closes on February 9th at 3:00 p.m. Please visit the Counseling Office if you need assistance. 

 

Maker’s Club:

The Maker's Club will meet on Monday, February 12 at 7:15 a.m. We will make a Valentine's Day Craft. Please let Mrs. Easley know if you will attend so there will be enough craft materials. All students are welcome to attend!

 

Aviation Club:

There will be an Aviation Club meeting on Friday this week during WIN. We will be meeting in the CTE Center Classroom to discuss the possibility of an upcoming trip to O'Hare International Airport. All students interested in the field of Aviation are invited to attend.

 

Gray Matters Meeting:

There will be a Gray Matters meeting this Friday during Win in the Theatre. We will be talking about self-love. We can't wait to see you there! 

 

Foreign Language Club:

Attention all Foreign Language Club members: Our next meeting is Friday, February 9th at 3:00 p.m. in room 3. We will be making Spanish Valentines! Bring a friend and hope to see you there!

 

CRUSH Cans:

Do you have a secret CRUSH?  Send someone a can of CRUSH pop anonymously for Valentine’s Day.  Buy a can of CRUSH pop from any Student Council member for $1, and your secret crush can return the can to find out who sent it for 50 cents.  Don’t miss out on the Valentine’s Day fun. 

 

Singing Telegrams:

Send a Singing Telegram to that special someone or send one to a friend.  Student Council members are now selling Singing Telegrams for $5.  The song and a flower will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14.  Don’t miss out on this special Valentine’s tradition. 

 

Wisconsin-Platteville & National Guard Visit:

On Wednesday, February 14th, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN and the National Guard will be visiting during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with them, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place. 


Writer’s Club:

The Writer’s Club will be meeting on Tuesday, February 13 after school in Rm 4 from 3:00-4:30. Everyone is welcome to attend!

 

Soccer Slam Sign-Up:

Before you make those Super Bowl plans, get your team registered for the 17th annual Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Slam!  Registration closes SUNDAY, February 11th at 10:00 p.m.  For the Love of the Game, and don't forget your Most Creative Team Uniform!

Prom Invite Competition:

Do you have an eye for design?  The Class of 2025 is hosting a competition to design this year's prom invites. The theme this year is Enchanted Forest. The winning design will receive a $100 Amazon gift card! Those interested should submit their design by February 14th to Miss Komel. See fliers in the hallways for more details.

 

Clay Target League:

Anyone interested in participating in the USA Clay Target League please sign up on the Geneseo Trap Google Classroom. You DO NOT need to be in FFA to participate in this league. If you do not have access to that, please see Mrs. Wetzell for the code. 


Boys Tennis Sign-Up:

If you are interested in going out for Boys Tennis in the Spring, please sign up with Mr. Plant in room 7, or at open gym tennis on Monday the 12th or on Monday the 19th at 7:30 p.m. in the Facility.

 

Greece Trip:

Attention Freshman, Sophomore, and Juniors: Have you ever dreamt about traveling to Greece? Well now you can! We will be taking a travel abroad group to Athens and the Greek Islands during the Summer of 2025. If you are interested, there will be a meeting Sunday, February 18th at 3:00 p.m. in the Theatre where more information will be shared. Feel free to stop by Mrs. Litton’s room (20) to get a meeting invite with the RSVP QR code and meeting information.


Silver Cord Opportunity:

Northside will be hosting a family math night on Tuesday, February 27th from 5:30 - 7:30.  Volunteers are needed.  Elementary students will be visiting a variety of stations promoting connection and mathematics.  The theme is “Carnival”.  If you are interested in volunteering please email Ashley Morey at  ashley.morey@geneseoschools.org

 

Blood Drive Sign-Up:

Sign up to save a life, or better yet, save three.  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The annual blood drive will be held on Thursday, February 29, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to sign-up with the QR code and choose their own appointment time. 16-year-olds are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.
