Silver Cord Opportunity:
Northside will be hosting a family math night on Tuesday, February 27th from 5:30 - 7:30. Volunteers are needed. Elementary students will be visiting a variety of stations promoting connection and mathematics. The theme is “Carnival”. Sophomore Class Meeting:
There will be a Sophomore Class Meeting on Wednesday, February 7th during WIN. Sophomores should report to their WIN classes for attendance and then proceed to the concert hall for a meeting.
Girls Basketball Pack the Place Night:
Tonight (Monday, February 5th) is Pack the Place/Autograph Night for the Girls Basketball Team. Please come out and support your Lady Leafs tonight as they play Alleman in a tough Western Big 6 battle. Sophomore game starts at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity is at 7:00 p.m. Posters will be autographed immediately after the Varsity game!
Army Visit:
On Wednesday, February 7th, the Quad Cities Army recruiting station will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with the Army, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Link Crew Meeting:
There will be a Link Crew Meeting for all current members today in the Theatre during WIN. You should check in with your WIN teacher quickly and then report to the Theatre for the training.
Musical:
Just a reminder that the auditions for the spring musical will be Tuesday, February 6th beginning at 3:15 p.m. in the DePauw Theatre. We will audition until we are finished. This is only for those students wanting to be in the show, not crew or orchestra.
Blood Drive Sign-Up:
Sign up to save a life, or better yet, save three. Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives? The annual blood drive will be held on Thursday, February 29, in the big gym. Sign up now with any Student Council member. Donors are asked to sign-up with the QR code and choose their own appointment time. 16-year-olds are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. Soccer Slam Registration:
Time is running out fast! Get your team registered for the 17th annual Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Slam! Registration Closes February 11th!! (Yes, it was the 7th, so we are giving you even MORE time!)

Character Crush February:
It's Character Crush February in the GHS Library. We are looking for students to nominate their favorite book character crushes by February 14th. After that we will take all the nominations and students can vote for their overall favorites. There will be raffle prizes involved for those who participate. Stop by the library for details.
CRUSH Cans:
Do you have a secret CRUSH? Send someone a can of CRUSH pop anonymously for Valentine’s Day. Buy a can of CRUSH pop from any Student Council member for $1, and your secret crush can return the can to find out who sent it for 50 cents. Don’t miss out on the Valentine’s Day fun.
Singing Telegrams:
Send a Singing Telegram to that special someone or send one to a friend. Student Council members are now selling Singing Telegrams for $5. The song and a flower will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14. Don’t miss out on this special Valentine’s tradition.
