Attention NHS, NTHS, AP Scholars, & Illinois State Scholars:
Academic Scholar Night practice will take place in the Concert Hall today during 7th period. Do not go to your 7th period class, go immediately to the Concert Hall. All current and new members of NHS, NTHS, AP Scholars, & Illinois State Scholars are expected to be at practice. Students that are speaking or playing music that night will also be practicing 6th period.
Mindfulness Thursday for Freshmen Today:
Today Freshmen have the opportunity for some mindfulness. Your choices are Adult Coloring in the Main Gym (limited to 50 students), Breathing, Yoga, & Mindfulness in the DePauw Theatre, or Wellness & Music in the GFAC. Please report to your WIN teacher first and then head to one of the three locations and sign in.
Western Illinois Visit:
On Monday, March 6th, Western Illinois University will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with WIU-QC, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Blood Drive:
Would you like to save a life, or better yet, save three? Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives? The Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 14, in the big gym. Sign up now with any Student Council member. Donors are asked to use the QR code and schedule their preferred time to donate. 16 year old donors are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. Attention All Sophomores and Juniors:
If you want to be a Link Crew Leader for next school year please come to the informational meeting on Friday morning in the Theatre from 7:40-7:55.
Senior Open Campus Lunch:
The next Open Campus Lunch opportunity for Seniors will be Friday, March 3rd. To qualify, you need to have a grade of D+ or higher in all classes and have no unserved discipline. Eligibility will be determined on Thursday, March 2nd.
Special Olympics:
Vote for the staff or administrator you would like to see get a bucket of ice cold water dumped on their heads. Students and staff can vote by donating money to designated cans for each staff member or administrator. The staff (or 2) with the most money will receive the ice cold shower. Cans will be set up in the cafeteria during lunch February 27-March 8th. Come to the track during WIN on March 9th to see the winner. All proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics.
